Just as our at HOME patients welcome us into their homes, we invite you into ours to share the inspiration behind creating Ideal Medical at HOME. Developing the practice was a direct response to observing the challenges faced by patients — and knowing we could do something to vastly improve the situation.
Healthcare should feel personal, relationship-focused, and patient-centered. Receiving care should feel like your providers know you, care about you, and are there when you need them — not weeks later. These are some of the values that not only motivated our expansion, but also encouraged us to enter the field of medicine in the first place.
We needed to build a different kind of medical practice.
Over the years, those of us who worked elsewhere saw the same problem again and again. Patients were doing everything right. They tried to follow up, refill medications, or schedule appointments. Yet they still fell through the cracks, often feeling neglected and disheartened. Some never received the care they needed.
One of our providers, Todd Stack, PA, shared:
“People cannot get into their primary doctors… they’re having trouble just following up or getting their medication refills. Too often, patients are discharged from the hospital with instructions to follow up within a week, only to hear, ‘We’ll see you in a month.’ This is not acceptable. When this occurs, people are left with few options. Many end up in Urgent Care or the ER for issues that should have been simple to manage.”
We put our experiences to good use and came up with solutions.
The concept of a provider going to a patient’s home felt like part of the answer. By bringing care directly to you, we are able to remove barriers, respond quickly, and deliver the kind of attention every patient deserves. Additionally, this gets back to the root of why we do what we do.
But just as important as access is affordability.
We have been told many times that we could charge significantly more for what we do. That has never been the goal. Our goal is to serve our neighbors, our community, and people from all walks of life. Teachers. Bartenders. Retirees. Families balancing busy schedules. Individuals working hard across every industry, as well as those intentionally investing in optimizing their health.
Healthcare should not feel like a financial gamble.
According to Dr. Brown:
“Patients are more and more frustrated… they receive healthcare services and then a surprise bill, and we believe it doesn’t have to be that way. Instead, we focus on clear, upfront pricing. You know what you’re paying, you know what you’re getting, and you’re done.”
This model allows us to spend more time with patients, build real relationships, and provide individualized care without the confusion and stress that often comes with traditional systems.
At the end of the day, we truly enjoy what we do. We are “people people.” We value connection, trust, and the opportunity to care for others in a meaningful way.
If you are looking for healthcare that is accessible, transparent, and built around you, we invite you to experience a better way.
